| Andrew Houston became a partner in the Litigation Department at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz effective January 1, 1991, having joined the firm in September 1984. He focuses on securities and corporate litigation matters, in particular those relating to corporate acquisitions. He has argued and/or tried securities and corporate cases in courts nationwide, including the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and United States District Courts for the Southern District of New York, the Eastern District of Louisiana, the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the Central District of California and others, as well as the Court of Chancery of the State of Delaware. Mr. Houston is the author of "Blasius and the Democratic Paradigm of Corporate Law," Delaware Journal of Corporate Law 1992, as well as other publications.
Mr. Houston received a B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from Yale University in 1976, and his J.D. from Yale Law School in 1984. He is admitted to practice in New York and the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. He also holds a Ph.D. degree from Cornell University. |
