| Elliott Stein focuses on securities law matters and mergers and acquisitions as a member of the Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz Corporate Department. He has represented numerous public and private corporations from diverse industries throughout the United States and overseas. Mr. Stein's practice includes acquisitions, spin-offs, divestitures and financing transactions, as well as takeover defense and corporate governance issues. He was a faculty member in ALI-ABA's continuing legal education program in Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions from 1997 to 2010, and co-chair of the program from 2005 to 2010.
Mr. Stein joined the Firm in 1983 and became a partner in 1989. He received both a bachelor's degree and doctorate from Princeton University in 1971 and 1975, respectively, and was awarded his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1983. |
